Pastor’s Column for July 2024

THANK YOU!

Thank you to Janet and all of our SCC musicians for leading us in worship on Music Sunday. God was glorified and we were moved by this meaningful and joyful service. We are so grateful to have such talented and faithful musicians! The choir will be taking a well-deserved break during the month of July, and we will be blessed all month by special music. Choir – we look forward to your return in August.

Also, thank you Priscilla, the Board of Christian Education, and all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make VBS a great success.  We trust that God has been at work in the hearts of the children who attended, and we hope that this ministry will bring new faces to our family of faith.

Finally, thank you to the Fellowship for Women Steering Committee – Lisa Carraway, Kim Parr, Beverly McGahee, Betty Johnson and Evelyn Jones – for coordinating all of the women’s events this spring. The final meeting of the season – a covered dish picnic – was attended by over forty women. It was a beautiful evening filled with great food, fun, and fellowship! We look forward to gathering again in September!

Please continue to pray for the Pastor Search Team and for the candidate that God is calling to be our next pastor. We have been praying for this person for many months, and I remain confident that God will reveal him/her to us in just the right time. In the meantime, I’m on the journey with you,

Tracy

Note: During the month of July, I will be in Suffolk on Sunday and Monday.
