Pastor’s Column

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who made Lent, Holy Week, and Easter such a meaningful time in the life of our church. From the music; to the Palm Sunday parade, potluck lunch and egg hunt with the Easter bunny; to Holy Week with the Last Supper Re-enactment and Easter vigil to the glorious celebration of Easter, it took a village. I am grateful to each person who committed their time and energy to help us accomplish our mission and honor God with our worship.

Coming up Soon!

Please put the following events on your calendar and plan to participate:

Spring Church Conference       Wednesday, April 30th, 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary

Plan to attend so that we have a quorum to vote!

Please Pray!

Please continue to pray for our Pastor Search team and the candidate that God is preparing to bring to this place, and for the Music Committee as they search for a new organist.

Please pray for our Building for Hope core team (Jim and Carman Goben and Tracy) as they travel to Alexandria, VA for the second retreat on May 15-17. Pray for the larger team as they continue to work through the curriculum and prepare to help the congregation discern how God is calling us to move forward.

Please pray for our college students as they finish their semesters and for our members serving in the military.

Please pray for Sunday School teachers for our youth and children and for the Board of Christian Education as they plan and prepare for Vacation Bible School.
