May 2023 Blog

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make Lent, Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter such a meaningful time in the life of our church. I am grateful for the ways that our children, youth, choir, musicians, worship leaders and re-enactors led us in worship during this Holy Season.  I also appreciate those who worked behind the scenes running sound, setting up and rearranging our spaces, preparing food, stuffing, and hiding Easter eggs, cleaning up, and all of the other things that are crucial but often unseen. We welcomed 155 people on Easter Sunday, THANK YOU!

May will also be a busy season in the life of our church. This month we will celebrate Mother’s Day (May 14th), remember those we have lost on Memorial Sunday (May 21st), and celebrate Memorial Day and Pentecost on May 28th. We will start June with Graduate Sunday on June 4th and music Sunday on June 11th.

Please continue to pray for our Pastor Search Team. After a recent candidate withdrew from the process, we are now gathering a list of additional candidates. We continue to trust that God will bring just the right person at just the right time. In the meantime, I’m on the journey with you!
