May's Blog

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make Lent, Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter such a meaningful time in the life of our church. I am grateful for the ways that our children, youth, choir, musicians, worship leaders and re-enactors led us in worship during this Holy Season. I also appreciate those who worked behind the scenes running sound, painting backdrops, setting up and rearranging our spaces, preparing food, stuffing and hiding Easter eggs, cleaning up, and all of the other things that are crucial but often unseen.  THANK YOU!

May will also be a busy season in the life of our church.  This month we will celebrate Mother’s Day (May 8th), remember those we have lost on Memorial Sunday (May 15th), celebrate our graduates (May 22nd), and celebrate Pentecost (May 29th). Plan to join us for each of these important services.

In addition to worship, we will gather for lunch and our second Town Hall meeting on “Where we are Now”) on May 1st.  Please sign up on the bulletin board outside the office so that we have plenty of lunch for all.  After this meeting, we’ll turn our attention to who God is calling us to be in the future and where God is calling us to go. After these two meetings, the Transition Team will develop our church and pastoral profiles. Once this is done, we will be ready to begin reaching out to potential pastoral candidates.  Please continue to pray that God will direct us every step of the way.

In the meantime, I’m on the journey with you!
