SEPTEMBER

My Dear Friends,

As we are putting the September newsletter together, we are quickly reminded that many of our ministries will once again be at “pedal to the metal” velocity. And that’s how it should be.

Every Sunday at the time of our offertory, I always thank you, our church family, for your faithful support of all of our ministries and missions. But your support goes beyond the monetary, and as we gear up for our fall activities you have a great opportunity to make your support very personal . . . with your presence and your participation.

Let’s start with Sunday School. One of God’s greatest educational, mission outreach, and fellowship gifts to the church. We have classes for all ages and our adult classes offer a variety of teaching styles. Thanks and God bless each of our Sunday School teachers!

Then, you might consider our fall Bible study. We will offer it on Tuesday evening and repeat on Wednesday morning. If only for the title of this study, you should participate! The Rock, The Road and the Rabbi will begin on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00 PM and again Wednesday, September 18th at 10:00 AM.

How about our Chancel Choir, or adult or youth handbells?? We don’t require auditions and you don’t have to be able to read music. Trust me as I tell you that the fellowship of these musical groups is rarely equaled. Plus, in the choir you get to wear the burgundy and gold of a certain NFL team (sorry, couldn’t resist . . .)

Well, these suggestions are enough for now. Please prayerfully consider your place in the household of God.

And God richly bless you and yours!

Love, Michael
