MUSIC UPDATES

               We have been so blessed to have Grace Garner at the organ this summer. Unfortunately, Sunday, August 6^th will be Grace’s last Sunday with us. Grace, thank you for leading us so well this summer. We have enjoyed watching you grow and you have certainly enhanced our worship. We pray that God will richly bless you as you begin the fall semester at Bridgewater.

             We also say thanks to our choir members, who are taking a well-deserved month off in August. Thanks in advance to our musicians who will provide special music this month. We look forward to worshipping alongside you.

PASTOR SEARCH UPDATE

             Please continue to pray for our pastor search team and the candidate that God is calling to SCC. The search team is continuing to work diligently.  We pray that God will continue to lead and guide them every step of the way and that we will continue to trust in God’s timing in the process.

USING OUR GIFTS

             This month each board will begin the process of nominating new members for 2024. Please prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to use your gifts to be God’s hands and feet at Suffolk Christian Church and in our larger world.

    CONSTITUTION UPDATE

             You should have received an email last week with a copy of the draft of our revised constitution. It is “lying on the table” for ninety days to give all members the opportunity to comment on the draft. Copies are also available in the church office if you’d like to pick one up.  We’ll vote on the final draft at our fall church conference. Thank you, deacons, for all of your hard work on this important project.

God continues to be at work in our midst. Join us this month as we look at some of the challenging parables in the book of Matthew. We will also celebrate baptism on August 13^th.  Plan to join us when you are in town.  As always, I am honored to be on the journey with you!  Tracy
