Rev. Donald Waltz

Donald (DJ), Bethany, Ruby, and Barrett Waltz joined Suffolk Christian Church in August of 2025. DJ answered the call to ministry as a teenager but continued to wrestle with the calling of being a minister. As DJ grew up and grew spiritually, he was able to see clearly the calling God had given him. On November 14th 2015, DJ was ordained into the ministry at Great Bridge Church of Christ. The following year he graduated from Mid-Atlantic Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in Ministry. He is currently enrolled at Greensboro College pursuing a Master's Degree of Theology, Culture, and Ethics. DJ's ministerial experience includes Youth Ministry, Lead Pastoral Ministry, and Hospice Chaplaincy. DJ's approach to ministry, preaching, and teaching is to meet people where they are and to love them for who they are. Reverend Waltz believes that God calls doubters, prodigals, and ordinary people to change the world for Christ.

In their spare time, the Waltzes enjoy watching television, playing board games, and being outside in nature. DJ enjoys collecting vinyl, using his telescope, rooting for the Cincinnati Reds, reading, gardening, and being a husband and a father.
